Ontario Motorcycle Insurance Information
Ontario motorcycle riders are required by law to have the following insurance coverages on their motorcycle to get an Ontario plate and to ride legally: Liability, Accident Benefits, Uninsured Automobile and Direct Compensation Property Damage.
Ontario Automobile Insurance Policy coverage parameters have been changed in some areas effective June 1, 2016. Every policyholder should carefully examine the standard Accident Benefits coverage and assess whether those limits are adequate to his/her needs. Policyholders are required to pay additional premiums if they wish to increase certain coverages, while other limitations are not amendable. Please read all policy documents carefully and call Riders Plus with any questions you have regarding your coverage.
Additional insurance for loss or damage to the motorcycle may be purchased, and Optional Increased Accident Benefits are also available. For complete details of motorcycle insurance coverages, consult an Ontario Automobile Policy (OAP 1). We would be pleased to provide you with a copy if you wish: phone 1-877-251-4504 or email info@ridersplus.com.
