Direct Compensation - Property Damage
Provides insurance coverage in Ontario, under certain conditions, for damage to your motorcycle (automobile) and to property it is carrying, when another motorist is responsible. It is called Direct Compensation because you, the motorcycle rider/owner, will collect from your own motorcycle insurance company even though you are not at fault for the accident. There may be a deductible amount. However, Riders Plus Insurance discourages motorcycle riders from choosing to have a DCPD deductible. Higher deductibles may reduce your insurance premium, but the reduction in motorcycle insurance premium is negligible compared to the relatively high deductible that the motorcycle rider would be responsible for in the event of an applicable motorcycle insurance claim.
